Financial and business information changes over time. SmartGrowthInvest reviews content when there is a reasonable reason to believe that a material fact, rule, rate, product term or market context has changed.

What can trigger an update

  • A law, regulation, tax rule or contribution limit changes.
  • A product changes its fees, features, eligibility or availability.
  • New official data makes an important statistic materially outdated.
  • A reader, author or editor reports a credible error or outdated statement.
  • An article is scheduled for periodic review because its topic changes frequently.

Published and updated dates

Articles may display publication and modified dates. A modified date should reflect a meaningful content update, not a purely cosmetic change made only to make a page appear fresh.

What happens to outdated content

Content may be updated, redirected, consolidated or removed when it can no longer be maintained responsibly or when another SmartGrowthInvest page better serves the same reader need.
